This project was a typical suburban landscape surrounded by water- guzzling lawn and rectangular hedges. We completely transformed the landscape into a drought-tolerant, edible, beneficial insect and bird- attracting garden. We helped the clients qualify for the city of Santa Rosa‘s “Cash for Grass” program. The drip irrigation system, sheet mulching procedure, and native habitat plantings all met the requirements for this innovative rebate program.

Today, this suburban landscape brightens the entire neighborhood with a diversity of flowers, citrus, and wildlife all while using a fraction of the water wasted by the old lawnscape.
