Permaculture Artisans is an award-winning landscape contractor that specializes in ecological and regenerative landscaping. We design, build and maintain landscapes, farms and homesteads that conserve and harvest water, produce food, provide habitat, and restore ecosystems.  We work on projects at all scales, from broadacre farms and ranches to backyard landscapes. We are growing and are currently hiring for the following position:

LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN, FULL TIME

We currently have the capacity to hire 1-2 landscape technicians to work with us in the installation of our designs. These are permanent, all-season positions that include full medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits.  The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet all day is a must. This is a great opportunity for someone to work under our experienced foreman while learning all aspects of landscape installation, including planting, hardscape, passive and active rainwater catchment, irrigation, fire risk minimization, erosion control, etc.


FREQUENT JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO

• Planting, sheet mulching and installing drip irrigation

• Irrigation system installation

• Hardscape installation (pathways, patios, rock walls, etc.)

• Loading and moving soil, rocks, debris, etc. into trucks or wheelbarrows

• Loading, unloading, and distributing products, pipe, fittings, tools and other construction and 

• landscape materials

• Digging trenches for pipes

WE ARE ALSO LOOKING FOR:

• Ability to effectively understand and communicate in English and Spanish with the manager, foreman and fellow crew members

• Hard workers with good attitudes and an ability to learn

• Dependable, team players who are able to follow safety guidelines

• Valid CA Driver License and working vehicle
